Who You Staring At? At the Centre Pompidou
This exhibition takes an extensive look at New York’s No Wave scene of the 70s and 80s. The exhibition takes its titles from an album by John Giorno and Glenn Braca. It is “a question that transcribes no wave artists’ confrontational attitude and determination to deconstruct the conventional gaze, presented here in an ensemble of multidisciplinary practices where dance, opera, music and the visual arts intersect.” Free tickets by reservation only for the vernissage. Exhibition accessible with tickets from the permanent collection, reduced tickets from €11.

Vidéo et après (Sex, Power, and Control - The Art of Beth B, in conversation with Nicolas Ballet) at the Centre Pompidou
In conjunction with the “Who You Staring At?” exhibition, underground filmmaker Beth B will be speaking with Nicolas Ballet about her work and the No Wave scene of the 70s. A number of Beth’s films will also be screened. Free entry, limited places.

A Thousand and One Orchids at Jardin des Plantes
A Thousand and One Orchids is an exhibition organized by the Jardin des Plantes de Paris. The floral exhibition will be set in the greenhouses of the Jardin, with over 700 different plants to be displayed. The annual exhibition is celebrating their tenth anniversary this year, and will feature special new staging, with the goal of making the exhibition more immersive.

Avant l’Orage at the Bourse de Commerce
Around 15 artists will be displaying their work at Avant l’Orage, an upcoming exhibition at the Pinault Collection’s Bourse de Commerce. “Against the backdrop of the climate crisis, in the urgency of the present, before the storm breaks again, the artists in the exhibition invent unusual ecosystems that contain new seasons.” Reduced tickets from €10.

Colors Festival at Porte de la Villette
Colors Festival is back in 2023 for the third edition of the festival. Over 80 artists will have their work displayed across 4500 square meters of space at Porte de la Villette in “the most colorful exhibition of the year”. Student tickets from €11.
