After joining DÉPAYSANTS in my first year at AUP, I fell in love with the creative outlet and community it provided. Through DÉPAYSANTS, my passion for journalism is combined with my love for art and design via our curation of Paris’ finest student-made art on the yearly issue. Getting to work with the DÉPAYSANTS team to provide a platform for young artists, writers and creators in Paris has been one of my favorite parts of my time at AUP so far.

Working alongside such diverse original individuals has inspired and invoked creativity in my life since joining DÉPAYSANTS. I am thrilled to take part in creating a platform for young artist to showcase their work. I am a second-year Global Communications major and I hope to further pursue my love for design by taking this opportunity to learn and spread knowledge of the fantastic creative community AUP and Paris has to offer.

I’m pleased to be continuing with DÉPAYSANTS as Online Director. I hope to continue in sharing the best Paris has to offer, from underrated exhibitions to vibrant cultural events. My own extensive experience in the arts — working in many mediums from drawing and painting, to collage, to still photography and filmmaking, encouraged me to take on the role of finding artists to feature and promote. I look forward to supporting immensely talented artists in Paris, particularly young people and students, and giving them the platform they deserve with DÉPAYSANTS.

I grew up in a country where art is undervalued, that being one reason why I see DÉPAYSANTS as a big opportunity to give support and a platform to young creatives. I've always enjoyed the visual arts — mainly painting, graphics, and film. Majoring in International Business Administration, I hope to bridge my love for design and the arts with my knowledge in marketing and management to help the magazine grow.

I am so excited to continue working with this incredible team as Content Editor. Moving into the art world when I came to Paris was a rocky start but wonderful people like those at DÉPAYSANTS have helped me adjust and learn in a creative environment. Through this magazine I hope to further intertwine my love for art with my desire to understand how an undertaking like this works successfully.

I’m very excited to be joining DÉPAYSANTS this year! I was motivated to join due to my love of photography and mixed media and eagerness to explore the Paris Art scene and culture. I hope to meet the wonderful student-artists that help fill the content for the magazine and I can’t wait to be part of a team that helps create a platform for young artists and writers. Through DÉPAYSANTS I look forward to meeting student artists/creators and discovering their work!
FASHION DIRECTOR

I found a gap missing within the AUP community for a means of creating in-house fashion-oriented editorials and collaborations. Once I heard about DÉPAYSANTS, I knew it was the type of space where I can express and practice my love of styling in a supportive community. Working in the realm of fashion styling in my professional life, I wanted to bring a means for stylist-aspiring students to create work of their own alongside artists within and outside of AUP, forging cross-sections with artists of different mediums and challenging their creative capabilities. I am excited to be bringing the Fashion Director position to DÉPAYSANTS this year.

I feel so lucky to be exploring the Paris art scene through DÉPAYSANTS! This city is filled with so many talented creators that inspire my creativity and make me fall back in love with art everyday. Hopefully being part of this team will allow me to meet the amazing artists in our community and grow my love for design. I’m so excited to work with this team as the assistant online editor and spark creativity in our readers.

As an artist and appreciator of many mediums, I could not have asked for a better role in DÉPAYSANTS than to seek out budding artistic talent and help create a network of artists to appreciate and support each other. Moving to Paris and joining the AUP community has allowed my own artistic inspiration to flourish, and I am excited to be sharing this passion of mine with so many others in this vibrant and diverse city that I am lucky enough to call home.
