Growing up in Hialeah, Florida, I was raised to love and appreciate the diversity of Latino culture. With an Italian father, I had the privilege to be exposed to European forms of art which sparked an awareness towards art history and theory. This was contrasted by spending summers in Guatemala with my mother's family where the understanding of art is different in comparison to the West. I joined DÉPAYSANTS not only as a learning opportunity for myself but to give exposure to the diverse community in Paris.

I discovered my interest in art history during my childhood summers visiting family in Italy. This and my background in classical music led me to pursue an Art History degree in Paris. Beyond expanding my knowledge of modern and contemporary arts, I’ve also interned at a small atelier during Fashion Week and performed as a musician. I’m joining DEPEYSANTS to give our talented and diverse community a platform to do the same.

As a fine art major, I have an eye for trends in visual culture, and the desire to make getting involved as accessible as possible. I started using digital photography as my primary medium back in 2014, and its grown to become a dominant influence on my understanding of city culture and subjective beauty. Paris is the quintessential urban hub of fashion, art, and history, so it is important to have a platform for up-and-coming creatives at AUP. I’m eager to engage the talented creative community and work with students, highlighting the broad spectrum of perspectives we have at our school.
