Yoshi Takata: Looking at Paris 1955-1987 at thaddeus ropac

The gallery Thaddeus Ropac will be exhibiting the work of Japanese photographer Yoshi Takata, focusing on her street photography, the fashion photography she is best known for, and the combination of the two during the thirty years that she spent in Paris. The show will be on display in the gallery’s Marais location from March 2 - April 23.

Le Décor Impressionniste at the musée de l’Orangerie

Starting on March 2 until July 11, see the Impressionist painters you know and love in a new light, with the works they created for domestic decoration: fans, ceramics, and paintings meant to “enliven the walls,” as Renoir is quoted by the museum.

Lucile Boiron - Avant de baisser les yeux at le consulat voltaire
This month, artist Lucile Boiron will be exhibiting her photographs at the art space Le Consulat. In the exhibit, entitled “Before Lowering Your Eyes,” Boiron represents the feminine body through the female gaze, rather than the desirous male gaze. There will be an opening on March 3 from 6-9pm, and the exhibit will be open until March 20.
